Nichia is not only the inventor of the blue light-emitting diode, which is the basis of today's white LEDs. The Japanese company is considered a pioneer in the LED industry. As a competent supplier of LED technology, LUMITRONIX® was appointed official distributor for Germany by the Japanese LED world market leader NICHIA and, since 2016, for the whole of Europe. This means that LUMITRONIX® provides one of the widest LED ranges of all leading manufacturers for every lighting solution.
The new Nichia LED for Horizontal Lighting
At light+building 2024, Nichia presented the Cube Direct Mountable Chip, an LED with special properties: It offers homogeneous, horizontal light distribution and a soft, glare-free light quality. This enables luminaire manufacturers to significantly reduce the thickness and weight of luminaire bodies.

Highly efficient UV-B LEDs
Humans and animals produce vitamin D naturally through the sun's rays. A lack of vitamin D can be compensated for by UV-B LEDs. UV-B can also promote plant growth, improve general plant health and protect against environmental pollution. Compared to mercury lamps, UV-B LEDs are not only free of toxic substances but also much more efficient.
INTELLIGENT LIGHTING SOLUTIONS
iFlex technology
iFlex offers individually controllable LEDs, great flexibility thanks to the ability to split each LED and the highest quality and reliability. All development and production takes place in Germany, and roll-to-roll production enables light strips of up to 20 metres in length. As an option, iFlex LED technology can be combined with LumProtect for greater durability and resistance.
