Specially designed silicone rod lens for applications in the UVC range

The VIOLET rod lens consisting of 12 individual lenses from the Finnish optics manufacturer LEDiL is made of highly UV-resistant materials and is the first optical system specially developed for UVC applications. The waterproof lens (IP67) is an excellent solution for UV disinfection of surfaces, air and water as well as for the prevention of plant diseases and insect infestation.

The lens array consists of a special silicone grade with high UV transmission and is surrounded by a robust stainless steel frame. VIOLET enables the production of cost-effective UV solutions with a minimum amount of UV LEDs and requires only half the dosing time compared to conventional fused silica.
