Its black anodised surface helps optimise heat dissipation and cooling.

Thermally conductive connection for effective thermal protection

To prevent overheating of the LED, we recommend a thermal connection from the LED module to the metallic luminaire housing. This dissipates excess heat to the outside and effectively prevents heat build-up in the luminaire housing. We point out that high-power LED modules should always be connected in series.
